Do You Look Like Your Pet Competition Launched

Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare is running a ‘do you look like your pet’ competition which went live today (9th January) and closes on 7th February at 11.59pm. The competition has been designed to encourage humans to celebrate their pet’s most endearing characteristics that they share with each other. It's also a great opportunity for people to get together and have some fun.
In order to enter, all you need is a webcam or phone camera, a good sense of humour and access to the internet. It couldn’t be simpler. Here are the steps:
- Take a photo of you, a friend or a family member with their lookalike pet
- Tag Raystede in your image on Facebook or Instagram. Remember to use the hashtag #LookALikeCompetition
- Make sure you’re following Raystede either on Instagram or Facebook. (You can find their social media tags are the bottom of this article).
If you don’t have social media, there is no need to worry. You can still get involved! You can submit your entry by visiting their website here and filling in the short form.

After entries close at midnight on 7th February 2023, all submissions will be reviewed, and award-winning comedian and celebrity guest judge Zoe Lyons will choose a winner. Zoe has been a long-standing supporter of Raystede’s work, so she was more than willing to get involved in this lighthearted way to spread the word about Raystede and the support they provide to thousands of animals. Once a winner has been selected, they will be contacted by 21st February 2023, and the winning photo will be shared on Raystede’s social media accounts shortly after!

The prize up for grabs is a personalised pet portrait worth over £100. The winner can select the photo the portrait will be based on, meaning it would be a great prize for yourself or even a fantastic gift to any pet owner! Entries are free, but all donations are always very much appreciated and go directly to helping the animals – so why not get involved?

T&Cs: Please ensure your pet is comfortable being photographed and not in distress. Any submissions featuring animals in fancy dress costumes will be excluded from the competition. Dog coats, bandanas, etc., are fine. The winner will be chosen by an impartial guest judge – award-winning comedian Zoe Lyons. Closing date: midnight on 7th February 2023.
