Spice Up World Cocktail Day With These Recipes

This month sees World Cocktail Day on the 13th – so impress your friends with a range of delicious and unusual cocktails using Spice Drops®.

Tomato Mojito 

 Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 grape tomatoes 
  • 1 drop of Mint Spice Drops®
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsps agave syrup 
  • 60ml tequila
  • Sparkling water
  • 2 grape tomatoes and a sprig of mint for garnish

 Method

  1. Muddle together the tomatoes, lemon and lime juices, and salt.
  2. Pour in the agave syrup, Spice Drops® and tequila. Add ice and shake vigorously. 
  3. Pour into an ice-filled short glass. Top off with sparkling water. Garnish with mint leaves, and a few grape tomatoes on a toothpick. Enjoy!

Cardamom & Rose Gin Fizz

Ingredients

  • 50ml gin
  • 30ml fresh lemon juice
  • 30ml simple syrup
  • 2 drops of Cardamom Spice Drops
  • 2 drops of Rose Spice Drops
  • Pinch of natural pink food colour eg Beetroot powder
  • Soda water
  • Ice

Method

  1. Mix all ingredients, except for the soda in the shaker.
  2. Shake until very chilled. Strain into coupe glass, top with soda. 
  3. Garnish with fresh lemon twirl.

Summer Strawberry Fizz

Ingredients

  • 50ml vodka 
  • 50ml simple syrup
  • 2 drops Holy Lama Lemon Spice Drops
  • 1 drop Holy Lama Mint Spice Drops
  • 2 strawberries
  •  Soda water 

Method

  1. Muddle the strawberries and spice drops.
  2. Pour over the vodka and syrup. 
  3. Add ice then top up with soda water.

Mint Chocolate Chip Cocktail

 Ingredients

  • 30ml vodka
  • 30ml white cacao
  • 2 drops of Mint Spice Drops®
  • 10ml sugar syrup
  • 30ml cream
  • Dark chocolate shavings and mint sprig for garnish

Method

  1. Shake all ingredients with ice.
  2. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
  3. Finish with dark chocolate shavings.

Spiced Apple Cocktail

 Ingredients

  • 45ml spiced rum
  • 100ml apple juice
  • 2 dashes amaretto
  • 1 drop of Cinnamon Spice Drops® (optional if you want a light cinnamon flavour)

For the decoration

  • 1 tsp sugar, large granules would work best
  • 1 drop Cinnamon Spice Drops®
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup
  • Apple slices, to garnish

Method

  1. To decorate the cocktail glass, rub the rim of the glass with the agave syrup.
  2. Combine the Spice Drops® and sugar on a plate and roll the rim of the glass in the sugar mixture.
  3. Combine the spiced rum, apple juice, amaretto and 1 drop of the Cinnamon Spice Drops® and the remaining sugar mixture, in a cocktail shaker with ice.
  4. Strain into the prepared cocktail glass. Garnish with the apple slices.
