The building is hidden away from the main harbour front and the bustling port of Dover and has views of the imposing Dover Castle. Couples can marry on the manicured main lawn, in front of the old Gate House or in the beautifully-preserved refectory.
For those looking for an aspect of the coast, The Pines Calyx and Garden (pictured top) is situated in the sheltered cove of St Margaret’s Bay, nestled in six acres of garden with commanding views across the English Channel. This unique, award-winning venue, constructed from natural renewable materials using passive house design principles, is surrounded by sweeping lush lawns, an adjoining lake, a grass labyrinth and a kitchen garden shouldered by the chalk cliffs of the Kent coastline.
Established in 2009, the award-winning Woodchurch Vineyard (pictured below) is nestled deep in the Garden of England and situated on the edge of the picturesque village of Woodchurch in Kent. Set across 12 acres, the vineyard’s gentle slopes look directly south over the vines to ancient Romney Marsh, and beyond to the Kentish coast and English Channel. An idyllic country setting, it is just six miles from the market town of Ashford and four miles from the pretty Cinque Ports town of Tenterden.
