Record Number Of Entries For Paddock Wood Half Marathon
The Lambert & Foster Paddock Wood Half Marathon, taking place on Sunday 8th March at 10am, has already had a record number of entries and will see up to 3,000 runners take to the roads in and around Paddock Wood, winding through the orchards and hop gardens of Kent.

This year’s runners will be able to access free race photography for a third year, thanks to sponsorship from community leisure charity, Fusion Lifestyle.
Fusion, who manage Putlands Sports & Leisure Centre in Paddock Wood, are already supporting runners with free swim or gym passes offered to all participants. There will be a Fusion team at the start and finish line too – with a PT from Putlands leading the warm-up for runners on the day with some of the Fusion team running themselves too.
In addition, a morning of activities will take place at Putlands, at the one-mile point of the race, offering free soft play from 10am to 12noon, a café and a range of stalls from local businesses selling gifts and treats for friends and family of the runners while they wait for their loved ones to complete the course.
Anthony Cawley, Fusion’s CEO, commented: “Keeping active with inclusive and accessible sport and leisure that promotes good health, vitality and wellbeing is at the heart of what we do at Fusion, so we love supporting events like this, in the heart of our community. We can’t wait to see our team, our members and hundreds of other runners take to the roads in Paddock Wood. Organisers of the Paddock Wood Half Marathon added: “We are so pleased with how popular the race is getting, although this has meant that entries unfortunately all sold out more than a month early this year, and that also means we won’t be taking entries on the day. We are delighted Fusion is sponsoring the race photography again. This will mean runners can claim a free download of any photos of themselves, to keep and share with friends.”

Putlands Sports & Leisure Centre Open Day
The team at Putlands Sports & Leisure Centre will be welcoming the community in ahead of the race too. An open day is taking place on Saturday 21st February that will give visitors the opportunity to try a range of free activities including Badminton, a Group Cycle class and Body Conditioning. Free gym and sauna sessions will take place all day too.
