24th-26th July 2026: Hyper Japan Festival
Returning to London this weekend is the Hyper Japan Festival, offering an unforgettable celebration of Japanese culture at Olympia. There will be a variety of exhibitors to explore, workshops where you can discover new skills through hands-on activities, a main stage with live performances, music, cosplay and more, a food hall where you can try popular Japanese dishes snacks and desserts, plus a hyper market for you to shop unique goods and handmade items.
24th-25th July 2026: Blue Reef Festival
Taking place this weekend at Loddington Farm in Maidstone, Blue Reef Festival offers “two days of live music, great food and full-on festival vibes, all set in the heart of the Kent countryside”. The event takes place across five stages and previously the festival has welcomed legendary headline acts alongside rising talent and crowd favourites creating an eclectic line-up and special experience. Plus, there will also be lots more to enjoy, such as creative workshops, family-friendly activities, DJs, street food, bars and more. As they say: “Expect great music, brilliant food and drink, and the friendliest festival crowd around!”
26th July 2026: The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever
Get your red dress ready and head to Folkestone Harbour Arm this weekend for The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever 2026, which is taking place from 11am to 6pm on Sunday. Join other fans to recreate Kate Bush's iconic 1978 "Wuthering Heights" music video choreography. If you want to get some practise in, then head there the day before on Saturday for a rehearsal, where you can either learn the routine or refresh your steps in time to dance along with rest of the Kates on the Sunday. Rehearsals are free to attend and will take place by the big Seagull at the end of the Harbour Station.
22nd-26th July 2026: Alan Plummer – towards his 90s and beyond
Head to the Spa Gallery, on the Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells for a new exhibition: Alan Plummer – towards his 90s and beyond. There is a preview evening on 22nd July 2026 from 6pm to 8pm.
Until 30th August 2026: Glyndebourne Festival Opera
Glyndebourne Festival Opera is back this week for another season of extraordinary opera taking place until 30th August. This year’s festival features Glyndebourne’s first ever production of Puccini’s Tosca, as well as new productions of Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo and Richard Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos. There will also be revivals of Rossini’s Il Turco in Italia (one taking place this Saturday at 4.50pm), Britten’s Billy Budd and Mozart’s Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serail. Glyndebourne opens two hours before the performance, giving you time to explore the gardens and exhibitions.

See the ocean like never before at the UK debut of the Ocean Photographer of the Year exhibition at The Historic Dockyard Chatham in Kent. Showcasing 116 award-winning photographs, this inspiring exhibition brings together the very best in ocean, wildlife and underwater photography from around the world. Selected from more than 15,000 entries, the images range from intricate portraits of tiny marine life to sweeping seascapes and powerful human stories, thereby sparking fresh conversations about the beauty of our blue planet and the urgent need to protect it.
