Tunbridge Wells Restaurant Owners Launch Italian Food Website
Brothers and business partners Maurizio and Ivan Di Santo have announced the launch of a website that brings the authentic food of Italy and beyond to the UK.
This new venture by the Italian duo allows customers across the United Kingdom to buy delicious, handmade, artisan food through their brand-new online platform - DiSanto and Family.
As owners of two vibrant and much-loved local restaurants – Soprano tapas and wine bar and French restaurant Coco Retro – the Di Santo brothers are well-known figures on the Tunbridge Wells foodie scene.
With a heritage deeply rooted in Italian culinary traditions, Maurizio and Ivan are committed to delivering only the finest foods packed with authentic flavours. Each product is carefully crafted by small-scale artisan producers who use traditional techniques and fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.
"Our food is simple, honest and natural," says Ivan Di Santo. "Food is our passion, and we want to share it – from our family to your family."
Driven to reconnect with their roots, the brothers have spent five years extensively researching and personally tasting food from over 150 farmers and producers in Italy and beyond. The result is their new website, Di Santo & Family.

Ivan explains: "We wanted to bring the same quality and authentic food that we had in our childhood to the UK, where most of the food is made on a commercial scale. We want to allow everyone to enjoy the natural and authentic food we eat daily in our family."
The Di Santo name is synonymous with quality artisanal food. Maurizio and Ivan Di Santo have been bringing Italy’s rich gastronomic culture to the UK for several years through their acclaimed restaurants. With the launch of their online store, the brothers expanded their passion for Continental cuisine to reach a broader audience, offering the same high level of quality and service that patrons of their restaurants have come to expect and cherish.

About the Di Santo family
Maurizio and Ivan grew up on their grandfather's farm in Calabria, southern Italy. Their family raised animals and prepared food to sell at the local market, gaining a reputation for high-quality produce. After graduating in food and hospitality, the brothers moved to London in 1997 to learn English and immerse themselves in a new culture. Six years later, they opened their first restaurant in London, followed by a second in Zurich – and have opened six delicatessens and restaurants altogether.
They moved to Tunbridge Wells 22 years ago. "When we first visited," explains Ivan, "we fell in love because it was perfect for bringing up a family and making good friends, and also a great place to start our business adventure."
